15 years of the Furla Art Award opens in Milan
Growing Roots: winning artists of ten editions of the Furla Art Award exhibit at the Palazzo Reale
Milan's Palazzo Reale presents the retrospective Growing Roots - 15 years of the Furla Art Award, an exhibition that celebrates the history of the Furla Art Award through the works of the winning artists of its ten editions: Sislej Xhafa, Sissi, Massimo Grimaldi, Pietro Roccasalva, Luca Trevisani, Alberto Tadiello, Matteo Rubbi, Chiara Fumai and the winning duo of the last edition, Maria Iorio and Raphaël Cuomo.
More than 500 guests attended the exclusive opening night. Names from the Italian and international art scene, members of the press, politicians and influencers in the fashion industry and the arts attended the event, welcomed by Giovanna Furlanetto, President of Furla and the Fondazione Furla.
Exhibited in the Appartamento dei Principi in the Palazzo Reale, the artists' works showcase the rich diversity of the contemporary art scene: painting, sculpture, installation, video, performance, drawing, sound art and ancient and contemporary materials interact to reconstruct the history of the last 15 years of Italian art.
Admission to the exhibition is free for all visitors until 12 April 2015.
